WCE HAS A PLAN CONTAINING CONCRETE AND ATTAINABLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Find, implement and promote solutions to overcome poverty.

  • Promote free and accessible healthcare for all.

  • Promote and build programs giving access to free education.

  • Support women through programs, activities and ventures in the educational, social and medical fields.

  • Empower organizations for women in distress to find safe temporary shelter for protection, and as a benchmark, a point of no return for a better tomorrow.

  • Improve the lives of women who find themselves under oppression by providing them direct support and social networking in their communities.

  • Campaign and send a powerful message worldwide to “End Violence”, mainly against women and children who are the most afflicted victims of aggressors.

It is estimated that 35 per cent of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or sexual violence by a non-partner (not including sexual harassment) at some point in their lives. However, some national studies show that up to 70 per cent of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. Evidence shows that women who have experienced physical or sexual intimate partner violence report higher rates of depression, having an abortion and acquiring HIV, compared to women who have not.  Source : https://www.unwomen.org/en/what-we-do/ending-violence-against-women/facts-and-figures

PROJECTS

1

I WONT LET YOU DIE

www.IWontLetYouDie.org

This project was born in 2011 when one of our co-founders and board members attended a meeting with a pharmaceutical company who had eradicated Malaria from the Comoros Island in 2007. Since then, the foundation got involved in understanding the need and urgency to eradicate this preventable disease.

In 2019, the Women and Children Embassy Foundation was admitted as a member in the International organization RollBack Malaria (RBM) www.endmalaria.org

Women and Children Embassy donated its domain name www.zeromalaria.org to RBM for free so RBM could launch a worldwide campaign with the domain.

NEVER STOP

The writing of the book Never Stop is an initiative of the foundation’s President Arlette Nkurayija. The book aspires not only to be her personal story, but mostly to be a tool to give the power back to any victim, teach them how to forgive and grow. Her story is already being scripted for a movie production. Once completed, Arlette also intends to become a public speaker and help others to move forward and Never Stop.

Their mission: Improving children's health & academic results through physical activity. PHIT aims to make sure all children get 30 to 50 minutes a day of physical activity during school weeks, therefore preventing many diseases and giving the chance to a future generation to grow into active and healthy people.
